THE PAUL MCKINNEY GROUP
The Paul McKinney Group (PMG) Started in 2000 when, Paul McKinney, after years of playing a wide variety of music in different bands decided to start playing solo acoustic shows around the Chicago area. Paul remarked to his friend, Eli Bennett, one night while playing a gig at the Praire Rock Brewery in Schaumburg, that Eli should have brought his bass and sat in. Eli “just happened” to have his bass in the car and the duo was born. PMG performed over the next couple of years in various forms as a solo act, a duo and trio. In 2002 PMG was fortunate to find that their friend Trish Adelman happened to be a world class vocalist and the full blown PMG has been thrilling audiences ever since with their lush 3 part vocals and incredible versatility. Able to sound like everything from a full-on rock band to a mellow coffee house act, PMG draws on the talent and experience of the various members to play everything from rock to folk to blues to country to reggae and everything in between. Available for bar gigs, brew pubs, coffee houses, private parties, weddings, corporate events and even wine tastings, PMG draw on their considerable set-list to be appropriate for just about any setting where acoustic music is played, and some which normally feature electric bands – they can be that powerful!. PMG is proud to count nominations in 2001 - 2007 as “Best Acoustic Band” as selected by readers of Suburban Nite-Life Magazine and their following, mailing-list and list of satisfied venue owners and agents continues to grow. In Summer of 2007 PMG released their debut CD of original material titled “The Coachouse Tapes” and are playing the material along with favorite covers at their live shows. Contact PMG at 847-502-6307 or pmckinney@paulmckinneygroup.com to inquire about booking the band, trio, duo, or Paul solo for your venue, party, or event.
